THE PROFESSIONAL VacuPress Pump

"...The number one choice of woodworkers everywhere..."

Since its introduction as the first practical vacuum veneer press, woodworkers have praised this original VacuPress model as a reliable performer. Today, it is still the number one choice of woodworkers everywhere.

An excellent entry-level VacuPress, as well as a dependable choice for the professional, this system handles the full range of veneering and laminating tasks with ease. Designed and thoroughly engineered to be a maintenance-free performer, the nucleus of both the Standard and Professional systems is a 1/3 HP 5 cfm oil-less rotary vane pump chosen for its industry proven performance.

The vacuum chamber has been specially plated to eliminate the possibility of internal corrosion -- an important feature when using water-based glues. A "repeatedly accurate" micro pressure switch guarantees consistent vacuum levels with an adjustable feature. This allows variable vacuum set-tings necessary for the various pressure needs of high elevation shops, curved work, and different glue types.

It also features a dual power switch for both vacuum pressing and vacuum clamping. In the press mode, the vacuum switch will automatically shut the pump off when the proper vacuum level is reached. In the clamp mode the pump operates continuously as a shortcycle hold down clamp for wooden parts.

The HI-FLO Industrial  VacuPress Pump"Modeled after the original standard VacuPress, this system delivers reliable performance with increased speed needed by large shops."

The Hi-Flo Industrial VacuPress was designed specifically for professional woodworking shops that demand durability, dependability and versatility from their VacuPress. Modeled after the original Standard VacuPress, the Hi-Flo system delivers the same reliable performance with increased speed when needed by larger shops. This workhorse system offers maximum performance on all levels of veneering and laminating.

The heart of the Hi-Flo Industrial VacuPress is a maintenance-free 3/4 HP 10 cfm oil-less rotary vane vacuum pump chosen, like the Standard, for its industry proven performance. This powerful pump, combined with larger flow lines and double entrance vacuum bags, achieves full vacuum 100% faster. These features are extremely valuable when dealing with larger curved work and multi bag operations (the Hi-Flo VacuPress can accommodate up to three bags with the addition of our manifold adapter). A repeatedly accurate micro pressure switch guarantees consistent vacuum levels with an adjustable feature. This allows variable vacuum settings necessary for the various pressure needs of high elevation shops, curved work, and different glue types.

The Total Air VacuPress Pump

"New larger air driven model totally powered and controlled by compressed air."

The Total Air VacuPress is the brand new addition to the VacuPress line. The Total Air VacuPress is modeled after the Air Powered VacuPress with the additional feature of being completely pneumatically controlled, no electricity is needed to power or control this unit.

The Total Air VacuPress, like the Air Powered VacuPress utilizes a venturi vacuum pump driven by standard compressed air to generate vacuum. Vacuum Pressing Systems uses only "full flow" single stage venturi vacuum pumps for maximum vacuum draw throughout the entire vacuum process. This guarantees short evacuation time and low overall compressed air usage.

This model also features a dual power switch for both vacuum pressing and vacuum clamping. In the press mode the vacuum switch will automatically shut off the compressed air flow when the proper vacuum level is reached. In the clamp mode the pump operates continuously for holding down wooden parts.

What sets the Total Air VacuPress apart from the Air Powered VacuPress is how thevacuum level is monitored and controlled. The Total Air VacuPress achieves this completely by the use of compressed air, no electricity is needed. The rugged, dependable, repeatability of pneumatic controls are unmatched.

The Total Air VacuPress is designed to be user-friendly by incorporating a regulator for setting compressed air levels and a pressure and vacuum gauge to monitor performance. The pneumatically controlled vacuum switch is easily adjustable for setting vacuum levels, and our see-through filter jar provides easy access for periodic dust removal.

FLIP TOPS

The VacuPress FlipTop is the latest development from Vacuum Pressing Systems meeting the demand for a top loading vacuum press. Designed primarily for pressing flat panels as well as low profile curved work, the FlipTop offers an "easy access" laminating system.

Place the work on the table, close the lid and turn on the vacuum pump. The force of atmospheric pressure automatically seals the gasket to the table and at the same time applies pressure to the work.

When the pressing cycle is completed, open the release valve and lift the lid. Simple and easy to use, the VacuPress FlipTop brings a new level of speed and convenience to vacuum veneering and laminating.

The VacuPress FlipTop comes as a complete kit, ready to assemble with complete instructions on frame assembly and how to make your own evacuation table for the frame.

Vacuum Bags

Industrial Poly Bag Features:

VacuPress Vacuum Bags have heat-welded seams and clampless, airtight vacuum hose attachments. Bags for the Hi-Flo model are double entry and have convenient, movableC-channel closures that give an air-tight seal and firm grip against the pull of curved work. The C-channel closer at the end of the bag can be moved down the bag for smaller setups and faster pressing time.

The Vacuclamp

Arrange the VacuClamp pods on the work surface, connect the vacuum source, and place your work piece on top. Instantly up to 1800 lbs per sq ft of pressure is applied. One, two, three or more pods can be connected together. Vertically, horizontally, on any angle, or any combination makes vacuum clamping simple and versatile to use. Because the pods are only on the underside, access for sanding or machining is unobstructed with no clamping marks.
What makes Vacuum Pressing Systems VacuClamp pods unique is the built in vacuum valve which provides two sided independently controlled clamping. When vacuum is turned on the pods are first drawn down to the work surface for accurate, positive placement. Next, placing the work piece on top engages the vacuum control valve drawing the part to the pod. Each pod is activated

 VacuClamp Demo

individually by the work piece allowing as few or as many pods to be engaged at once. Pods not holding the work piece are still drawn tight to the work surface with no vacuum loss. Pods can also be permanently mounted to the work surface for repetitive operations or vertical clamping. The pneumatic foot switch provides quick release of the work piece by simply stepping down. Release the pedal and clamping force is instantly reapplied

AirForm™ Bladders

"Vacuum Pressing Systems, the innovator in laminating technology, introduces the AirForm™ inflatable bladder system for internal support of 3-dimensional objects."

The force of vacuum can apply up to one ton per square foot. Until now any object other than a flat panel required substantial internal bracing to prevent damage or implosion. AirForm™  inflatable bladders redefine the way 3 dimensional objects can be pressed with vacuum, simplifying the process, eliminating time consuming and bulky forms and removing the fear of deflection or implosion.

For example, the 2x2 radius end panel in the picture (at left) would have had over 8000 pounds applied to it at full vacuum. At only 25% vacuum, however, severe sagging is already evident.

With AirForm(tm) inflatable bladders a 3 dimensional object like the one shown can receive full vacuum pressure with absolutely no deflection, as shown below:

The principle is simple. Instead of a rugged form to support the shaped object, an air filled bladder is used, expanding to equal the vacuum pressure being applied. The AirForm™ is completely self adjusting, perfectly balancing the opposing pressures.

2 & 3 Port Manifolds

Vacuum manifolds allow multiple bags to be operated off one pump at the same time. Our manifolds come with the same quick disconnects that are on the vacuum pumps so installing a manifold is quick and easy. Each port has a shut-off valve so bags can be operated individually. 2 port manifolds come with one extra host to the bag and 3 port manifolds come with two hoses. Available in 5 and 10 CFM flow rates.

Vacuum Bag Patch Kit

Comes with a piece of the bag material, a tube of specially formulated glue that remains flexible after curing to stretch with the bag and 6 sticky backed patches for pin holes and quick fix temporary patching.

Nipple Patch Kit

Our nipple patch kit allows the user to relocate the bag nipple to a new location on either side of a vacuum bag. This is commonly done when one side or end of the bag gets worn from use giving the bag a new life. A nipple patch comes with one nipple heat welded to a 3" diameter patch for easy attachment, a tube of glue and a piece of bag material for patching the old nipple hole.
